Bridging digital design and human care

From Pixels to People: A Designer's Journey into Care

Avatar of the website author

Hi, I'm Cindy. I design intuitive, inclusive digital products that make a difference—and I also work on the frontlines of community care. With 4+ years of experience in Product (UX/UI) Design, I'm passionate about using empathy, research, and strategic design to improve systems for people of all abilities and backgrounds.

This cross-sector experience has revealed that care work and design work share the same DNA—both are fundamentally about understanding people and creating better experiences for them. Every interaction is a touchpoint, every support plan is a user journey, and every outcome is a measure of design success.

When I’m not behind the screen, you’ll usually find me running the streets of Sydney. I also enjoy exploring new places, reading books, and learning motion design.

Design Philosophy

Driven by curiosity, community, and purpose. I believe good design is invisible, inclusive and intentional. I strive to be an *Asterisk Designer: balancing craft, fiscal fitness, wellness, AI literacy, and human connection.

*Coined by Rachel Zhang - an Asterisk Designer is someone who embrace a non-linear approach to design, solving problems using AI where our core strengths are the 5 things mentioned above.
